Don't Forget About Yourself!

Hello! I hope you are enjoying the change in seasons as much as I am.
The transitions between seasons can be pretty and scenic, and it can also be a bit stressful due o changes in work load, kids getting settled into schools, the holiday season is coming soon, and it seems like there is an endless to-do list.

Almost everyone runs around like crazy and we're often so busy trying to do things for others at work, or be there for our families, and then go out with our friends when we're dog tired just to please them. A lot of people volunteer and participate in charity work (Which is an absolutely beautiful and wonderful thing!), but then they come home drained and exhausted in every way possible.

But did you know that it is still possible to put other people's needs before yours AND also take a little but of time each day just for you? You need rest because that's your body's natural defense system against illnesses. So maybe you don't need to take a nap, but maybe just going for a walk or reading a favorite book can make you feel at ease. Or maybe after work, light some candles and take a hot bath: whatever makes you feel more relaxed.

It's not selfish to do little things for yourself. Go and treat yourself well because once you get a little more energy back into you, then you can go and treat others well too. It's one big cycle. How can we be kind and respectful towards others if we don't respect and treat ourselves well?

Enjoy the day and try not to get too wrapped up with pure efficiency. You matter. Your mind matters and your well-being matters.

Love and Peace Always!
